Stacey Thomas

July 17, 1976 — November 11, 2022

Dublin, California

Stacey L. Thomas of Dublin, CA, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, November 27 at 2:00pm at the Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Avenue, Prairie Village, KS.

How do you briefly capture the life of an incredible mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend who loved fiercely and was in turn loved by so many - Stacey truly never met a stranger. Her generosity, kindness and hugs were endless and touched us all. Her love and dedication to her children were evident in all she said and did. Stacey will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Raised in Leawood and Prairie Village, KS, Stacey graduated from Shawnee Mission East in 1995 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Pittsburg State University and a Master’s degree from Baker University. She served as Tri Sigma President at PSU and was always active with the Tri Sigma sisterhood. Over the past 25 years her career in business and records management led to roles with the Johnson County DA’s office, Shook, Hardy & Bacon, McKesson and most recently Pacific Gas & Electric. She volunteered many years as a Campaign Coordinator for United Way of the Bay Area and was the Golden Gate Chapter Vice President of ARMA International.

She is survived by her husband Sean Trumbly, son Nash and daughter Meg; father Jim Thomas; sisters Tara (John) Gale, Brie (Colton) Te Velde and Cion (Jon) McManus; grandmother Phyllis Samuels; father-in-law John Trumbly, brother-in-law Eric (Jen) Trumbly, and sister-in-law Erin Trumbly. Stacey was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Thomas. She relished being an aunt and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with countless dear friends across the U.S.

In lieu of flowers, the family would direct any contributions to the Make a Wish Foundation https://wish.org or her children’s scholarship fund: https://gofund.me/5871a452

A celebration of life for Stacey’s California friends & family will be held later in December.
