Adrien Hankins

Adrein Michael Hankins passed peacefully in the arms of family on March 4th at KU Medical Center. He was born September 10, 2008 at only 1 lb, 12 ounces. During his six short months here on Earth he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends.
Adrein was the son of Christine Hankins and Bryan Spaulding both of Overland Park. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Penny Spaulding. His surviving grandparents are Kathy Hankins of Overland Park, Rodney Hankins of Overland Park, and Gary Spaulding of Lenexa; great grandmother Marilea Gerner of Overland Park; aunts Heather Hankins of Overland Park, and Paulette Spaulding, of Raytown; and many great-aunts, uncles, and cousins. Adrein gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth, he was loved by all who met him, and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Overland Park Regional Hospital NICU and KU Medical Center PICU for the loving care they gave. Memorials may be made to the family for a future bereavement fund.
Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7th at the chapel. Arrangements, D. W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 913-451-1860.
