Mrs. A. Harris

Cynthia A Harris, 64, of Prairie Village, KS passed away Friday, 2/25/11, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home after battling cancer. Her visitation will be from 6 to 8pm this Wednesday at D. W. Newcomer’s, 11200 Metcalf, O. P., Kansas, with Rosary at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. this Thursday, at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 1001 E. 52nd St., KC, MO, 64110. Cindy was born 2/15/47 in KC to Bernard and Mary Jane Dowd. She graduated from UMKC with a teaching degree and taught 3rd grade at Visitation Elementary School for the last 8 years. Cindy is survived by her mother Mary Jane, of KC; her son and daughter-in-law Albert and Erin Harris of Olathe, KS; her daughter Jennifer Harris of OP, KS; her son Thomas Harris and his fiancé Laura Unklesbay of KC, MO; two grandchildren, Kane and Roan Harris; and two sisters -- Kathy Low of St Louis and Pam Stigall of KC. We would like to thank her friends and neighbors for all their help during her battle with cancer. Also, we would like to thank her doctor and healthcare workers who did so much to care for her and give her comfort. Finally, we would like to thank her friend, Sister Sue Andrew, for all her help, prayers and for being such a good friend to our mom.
