Alan Bruce Miller, 60, Overland Park, Kansas passed away July 8, 2011. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., also in the chapel. Interment will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Christian Family Services, 10550 Barkley, Suite 100, Overland Park, Kansas 66212. Alan worked in the electrical sales industry in the Kansas City area for more than 30 years. He was an active church member at Legacy Christian Church in Overland Park, KS. He loved to build cabinets and woodworking of any kind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Miller; and father-in-law, Robert Cline.
Alan is survived by his best friend and wife of 38 years, Deborah Miller; children, Jason (Emily) Miller of Mwanza, Africa and Jessica (Dustin) Nemechek of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Kayla, Judah, Michael, Ezra, and Zoe; mother-in-law, Mary Cline; and sister, Karen Wignall.
