Alfred Herrera of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Eqequiel and Maria Herrera, two brothers, Manuel Herrera and Robert Herrera, and one sister, Ernestina Palos. Survivors include his brothers, Albert Herrera, Luis Herrera and Ricardo Herrera, and his sisters, Rachel Gorman, Jesus Herrera, Beatrice Rodriguez, Rita Khan and Olivia Herrera, and 33 favorite nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Camp Courage, 9513 Linden St., Overland Park, KS 66207, a camp for special needs adults.
A celebration of Alfred's life will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf . Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 28, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 6 PM.
