She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1948 and faithfully served the church in organizations such as the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), Naomi Circle, and the quilting group.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George, by one son Thomas Zschoche (Pam), daughters Jane Musgrove (John) and Gail Phelps (Roger), 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lois Gunlach, sister-in-law, Florence Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 29, followed by a service at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd Street, Mission, Ks 66202 with burial to follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
