Allan Barry Robinson, Son of Harry and Bess Robinson died on June 14th, 2024 at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care. Allan was a proud resident of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area since his birth on January 31st, 1933. After serving as a Private First Class in the United States Army, he returned home to take over the family business eventually reorganizing it into Robinson Potato Supply Incorporated, one of the largest produce distributors in the Midwest.
Allan graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO in 1951 and attended college at the University of Missouri - Columbia where he was a proud member of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Allan’s education was cut short due to the Korean War, where he voluntarily enlisted in the Army.
Everyone who came into contact with Allan could not forget his passion for his non-work activities: Golf, Travel, laying out in the sun and most important to him his family and friends. During his long residence in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area Allan was very involved in many charities including the American Cancer Society both the Kansas City and Phoenix Chapters and most recently, Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
On November 12th, 1966 Allan married the love of his life Carol LaSalle and they had two children he adored Barry and Bradd. Allan also adored his daughter in law, Lisa Horseman who with her husband Barry gave him two beautiful grand-daughters Ashely and Hayley who he adored and doted on.
During Allan’s 91 years of life he has touched the lives of many people and will always be remembered for his love of life and generosity.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be sent to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care,
