Angelyn J. Overby-Kirk, 58, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at her parent’s home in Shawnee, Kansas. A celebration of Life Service will be held at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 4:30 pm. Interment will be held at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
Angelyn was born on February 1, 1952 in Albany, Georgia to Milton s. and Agnes (Downer) Overby of Shawnee, Kansas.
She was a graduate of Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelor and Master’s degree from University of Central Missouri. Angelyn worked at the Higginsville Habilitation Center in Higginsville, Missouri. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Angelyn was preceded in death by her brother Malcolm B. Overby. She is survived by her children James Dean Gill, Jr. and his wife Marie Burke-Gill of Maplewood, Missouri, Susan Renee Kirk of the home in Warrensburg, Missouri, grandchildren: Madeline M. Gill and Malcolm M. Gill of Maplewood, Missouri , step grandchildren: Sam Burke and Rita Burke of St. Louis, Missouri.
