Annette Elizabeth Mack Redler, 79, Lenexa, KS, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010. Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Friday, December 3 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. A celebration of Annette’s life will be 10 am, Saturday at the chapel. Entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Episcopal Community Services or St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Annette attended Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO. and then attended University of Missouri. While at MU, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Sigma Alpha Iota, music fraternity, and Phi Lambda Theta, education fraternity. She received her BS in Education from MU in 1952 and her Master’s in Education from UMKC in 1971.
Her teaching locations included: William C Bryant, Kansas City, MO., Rhein-Main Dependent School, Frankfurt, Germany, Dorothy Moody Elementary, Valley View Elementary, Brookwood Elementary of Overland Park, KS, and Shawanoe Elementary School, Shawnee, KS.
She was also a member of Sagamore Chapter DAR and Platte and Johnson County Genealogic Societies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Flynn Mack Sr. and Elizabeth Houts Mack, and her brother, James F. Mack Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Mary R Scott (Howell) of Basehor, KS, and Lisa E. Hansford (Charles) of Lebo, KS, and grandchildren, Benjamin Scott and Holly Hansford.
