Ardis Miller

Ardis V. (Rollins) Miller, 82, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 27, 2007, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, at 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Village Hospice, 400 NW Murray Road, Lee's Summit, MO 64081. Ardis V. Miller was born August 13, 1924 to Vernon and Beula (Bungard) Rollins. During her childhood, she resided in Liberal, KS and later moved to the Kansas City area. Ardis was married to Robert Bruce Miller until his passing in 1991. She worked as a real estate agent and legal secretary in Johnson County. Ardis was an avid gardener, talented musician, world traveler and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for ten years. Not only did she love to dance, but she was also a five-year member of a senior tap dancing group. She loved life and enjoyed her time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Craig Miller (1994); brother, Bruce Rollins (1984). Ardis is survived by son, Jeffrey Bruce Miller; friend and loving companion of 18 years, Harold Jones, Overland Park, KS; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a numerous number of friends.
