Ardyth L. Wendte, 86, Lenexa, Kansas passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House.  Ardyth was born October 30, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas to Arthur L. Goetze and Helen Erich Goetz.  She met her future husband, Clarence at a social dance at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Argentine area of Kansas City, Kansas.  They were married for 63 years until he passed away in 2012.  Ardyth was a Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources for J.E. Dunn Construction when she retired after 26 years of service. Ardyth was a 40 year member of Hope Lutheran Church and a member of the Executive Secretary’s Club.  Ardyth was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her.  She cherished her many friendships and enjoyed spending time in Florida at their winter home.
Ardyth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: David and Cathy Wendte; Four grand-children:  David Andrew Wendte and his wife Laura, Christopher Adam Wendte and his wife Lindsey, Phillip Alexander Wendte and Matthew Aaron Wendte; Three great-grandchildren:  Dominick William Wendte, Abigail Grace Wendte and Levi Christopher Wendte.  Visitation will be 2-4PM Sunday November 27th at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf.  Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday at Hope Lutheran Church, 6308 Quivira, Shawnee, Kansas.  Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  A luncheon will be provided back at the church following the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Ardyth may be given to Hope Lutheran Church and School or the Kansas City Hospice House.
