Argyle A. Magenheimer, 93, Overland Park, Kansas passed away December 30, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, January 9, 2011 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas 66210. Inurnment will take place in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Indoor Courtyard of Memories. Argyle was born July 20, 1917 in Haubstadt, Indiana to Edward Arthur and Lydia Marie Magenheimer, both have preceded him in death. He lived in Haubstadt until enlisting in the Army. He was stationed at bases in Texas and Louisiana. He was joined in Louisiana by his first wife, Marge and their two children. They then moved back to Kansas City where he worked and retired from Sperry Rand. After retirement he started his passionate hobby of working on clocks.
Argyle was preceded in death by his sister, Artie Schoeny; and son, Richard Magenheimer.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home; daughter, Phyllis Secrest of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Marie Carter; and 5 grandchildren.
