Arlene B. Haase

Arlene Beverly Haase, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21st from 6-8 pm at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas, 66210. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd at 10:00 am also at the chapel. Arlene was born in Lewistown, PA on April 10, 1935 to James N. and Grace (Bilger) Smith. Before moving to Overland Park in 1969, she was employed by the Mifflin County Chamber of Commerce and the Mifflin County Industrial Development Company for five years. In Overland Park she was a Partner with her husband at Midwestern Engineered Equipment Co. She was a District Manager for Mostly Baskets of Phoenix, AZ. She was a Certified Wedding Specialist and Owner of Cinderella Weddings. She was an avid bridge player and member of Brookridge Golf & Country Club and Loch Lloyd Country Club. She was a former member of Business & Professional Women’s Club, American Business Women’s Association, and White Shrine. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Robert W. Haase, son Curtis D. Elder (Kris) of Overland Park, KS, stepsons Philip J. Haase (Judy) of Treasure Island, FL, Robert W. Haase, Jr. (Elaine) of Katy, TX, grandchildren Ian James Elder & Evan Joseph Elder of Overland Park, KS, Lori Fort of Merritt Island FL, Betsy Adelizzi of Katy, TX, great grandchildren, Miranda, Robbie, Jacobi & Genna, several nieces and nephews, brother Harold M.
