Arthur R. “Artie” MacPherson, 83, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014.
Born in Queens, NY. He was in the Boy’s Brigade and National Guard, served four years in the Air Force including one year in Korea. After 30 years with the John Deere Company he retired in 1992 and enjoyed traveling to 48 states in an RV.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Genelle and two married daughters, Heather (Rick) Barber and Holly (Dave) Ferrin.
The family wishes to thank the Pinnacle Ridge staff for the excellent care Artie received for almost 4 years due to Alzheimer’s.
A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. A private entombment will take place at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens – Indoor Garden of Memories, Overland Park, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
