Arthur Leslie Neslon Jr., 91, of Overland Park, KS, passed away May 6, 2015.
Arthur was born August 22, 1923, in Kansas City, MO to Flora and Arthur L. Nelson Sr.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War 2. After serving in the Air Corps, he attended William Jewell College where he achieved his Bachelor’s Degree. After graduating, he worked for the US Treasury Department for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Marie Nelson; and his parents.
Arthur is survived by his son, Steve (Daryl) Nelson; daughter Ruth (Roger) Tarbutton; granddaughter Sharon Leigh Tarbutton; step grandchildren, Bridget Duffy Hays, Erin Duffy, and Kelly Duffy.
A visitation will be held from 10AM-10:30AM on Monday May 11, 2015 with a service to follow at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery immediately following the service.
