Audell "Bill" Billingsley, D.D.S. was born in Palestine, Arkansas on September 29, 1922, Married Patricia Ann Taylor Waugh on November 3, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA and died January 19, 2015 in Olathe, Kansas. He died of natural causes peacefully at the Hospice House a service of the Olathe Medical Center.
Bill is predeceased by his Grandson Scott, both parents William and Betsy, his older sister Loraine and younger brother Billy Gene. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Patricia Ann (Waugh) of Kansas; three Children Michael L. Billingsley, D.D.S. and Diane of Colorado, John P. Billingsley and Kathleen of California, and Patricia Ann Billingsley von Behrens, D.D.S. and husband Brent von Behrens, D.D.S. of Kansas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
Bill is a graduate of Colorado College and University of Missouri, School of Dentistry. Professionally practiced dentistry in Durango, Colorado and Overland Park, Kansas for over 50 years. A veteran of World War II and Korea, retired as a Colonel in the US Army Reserve, Commander of the 486th Dental Detachment. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner, Past President of the Optimist Club of Corinth Square, a Member of All Saints Episcopal Church an avid reader of history and biographies.
A Memorial Service in honor of Dr. Billingsley will be held 11am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens 11200 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66210; followed immediately by Military Honors in the chapel.
