Augustin "Gus" Ibarra, 90, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away July 7, 2015.
A memorial service will be at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., O.P., KS, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:30 PM and family will be there beginning at 1:30PM.
Gus was born in Floyd, Mo. in 1925 to Tomas & Elvira Ibarra. He is survived by his 5 children; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Gus and his former wife Betty opened the first Mexican Food Restaurant in Overland Park in 1960 "Los Ibarras". Los Ibarras was followed by the Red Bull Restaurant also in
O.P. His youngest daughter now owns Torreon Mexican Restaurant.
Instead of flowers, Gus asked that contributions could be made to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
