ALLISON Barbara A. (Lightfoot) Allison, 77, of Overland Park, passed away March 13, 2013, surrounded by her family in her home. Barbara was born May 8, 1935, in Tulsa, Okla., to James and Ethel (Wagner) Lightfoot. Barb was raised in Chanute, Kan., and attended Neosho County Community College. She also attended Pittsburg State College, and received many honors while there, including KSTC Homecoming Queen, first attendant, American Royal Queen and Miss Chanute. She had been a member Christ Church Anglican since 1992. Barb was passionately devoted to many of the church groups and projects, such as OPUS (Older Parishioners Up To Something), Project Backpack, and Stuff-A- Van. She was also a wonderful pre- school teacher/director for 23 years at Immanuel Lutheran Pre-School. Her love was with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The love of her life was her husband, Bob, of 52 years. They enjoyed traveling, being together, and each day celebrating a marriage made in heaven. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert Dean Allison, her three daughters, Stephanny Sauceda of Olathe, Kan., Brenda (Merl) Page of Wamego, Kan., and Tracy (Chris) Kerth of Overland Park, six grandchildren, Andrea Schwarzenberger (Brett Whitacre) of Olathe, Nicole (Jason) Weathers of Shawnee, Kelli (Derek) Cox of Lenexa, Michael (Kristen) Page of Overland Park, and Tyler and Connor Kerth of Overland Park, and six great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, and Zack Schwarzenberger, and Isabella and Jackson Weathers, and Dalton Cox. Barbara was preceded in death by both parents. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Christ Church Anglican, 5500 West 91st Street, Overland Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Anglican, 91st and Nall in Overland Park, or to St. Luke's Hospice, Saint Luke's Home Care & Hospice c/o Saint Luke's Hospital Foundation, 4225 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, MO 64111.
