BARBARA GENORE LUCY, 77, Overland Park, KS passed away September 17, 2013.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Living Organization (CLO), P.O. Box 14395 Lenexa, KS 66285.
Mrs. Lucy was born December 20, 1935 in Ventura, CA. Barbara graduated from Billings Senior High School in Billings, Montana in 1954 and graduated from Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri in 1956 with an Associate of Arts degree.
On March 8, 1958 Barbara married Laurence J. Lucy and spent the majority of her years as a devoted wife and mother.
Barbara was a member of Antioch Family Worship Center and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence J. Lucy and her parents William and Hazel Gundrum.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Lucy and her son, Allan D. Lucy and his wife, Stacey Lucy.
