Barbara J. Ragan, 82, Overland Park, KS, passed away April 16, 2009 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66210. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009 at D.W. Barbara was born March 5, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She worked as an executive secretary for John Deere Company from 1968 to 1987. She was a director for KCTV 5 Call for Action from 1990 to 2000. Barbara was also a member of the national board of directors for Call for Action. She joined the Red Hat Society on her 80th birthday. She is survived by a son, John K. Miller of Wichita KS; two daughters, Barbara A. McKenzie of Denver, CO and Linda K. Miller of Atlanta, GA; and one granddaughter, Katie Lynn McKenzie, of London, England.
