Barbara Sheldon

April 28, 1930 — February 26, 2013

Barbara Ann Roesch Sheldon, 82, Cincinnati, Ohio, entered into eternal peace on February 26, 2013, at the Cincinnati Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Blue Ash, Ohio.

Barbara was born on April 28, 1930 in Terre Haute, IN, daughter of the late Herman and Grace Roesch. She graduated from Wiley High School in 1947 and Indiana State University in 1951 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Sheldon; her children, Jay Sheldon(Debbie) of Halstead, KS, Eric Sheldon(Jeannie) of Savannah, GA, Trish Pachak (Jim)of Denver, CO, Scott Sheldon of Kansas City, MO and Peter Sheldon (Angel) of Milford, OH, and was pre-deceased by her son Todd Sheldon and sister Patricia Spahn. Also, surviving her are her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Barbara was a member of PEO, Lambda Delta Sorority and loved bridge, golf and being with friends and family. Barbara and Roy were members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran church in Cincinnati, OH.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 7, 2013 from 6-8 pm at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS 66210. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10 am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 9514 Perry Lane, Overland Park, KS 66212. Entombment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life following the entombment at Blue Hill Country Club, 777 W Burning Tree Drive, Kansas City, MO 64145.
