Barbara Stobie

Barbara Ann Reed Stobie died Saturday, December 8th, at home, Greenwood Terrace, Olathe.   She was born 27 May, 1953 in Topeka to Samuel Albert Reed and Helen Louise Hefner, and raised in Leavenworth.    She was a member of the Church of Nativity, Leawood, and volunteered with many organizations.  She was a very generous and loving person.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings (who died young), her son Billy Gillespie, 4 children who died before birth, and one grandson.  She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Thomas Stobie, 6 brothers, Albert Reed (Janet), Leavenworth, James Reed (Ona), Leavenworth, Joseph Reed (Terri), Kansas City KS, Charles Reed (Judy) Leavenworth,  David Reed, Grandview MO, and Michael Reed, Leavenworth, her son Terry Bowen (Monica), Minnesota, and her granddaughter Gwen Gillespie.

A viewing with Memories and Prayers will be held 6:30-8:00pm Thursday December 13th at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel.   Her funeral will be at her beloved church, The Church of Nativity, Friday December 14th  at 2:30pm, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following.
