Services for Beatrice Jane Marshall will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at D.W. Newcomer's Funeral Home – 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park.
She died Saturday, September 7th at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
She was born February 10th, 1932 in Patterson, Ohio to the late Harry and Juanita (Waxler) Green. She married Edward H. Marshall, who proceeded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery (Kathy) West of Kansas City, KS; a granddaughter, Sarah West and partner Kari Estes of San Diego, CA; a grandson, Jacob (Lauren) West of South Korea; a daughter, Pamela (Daryl) Taylor of Florida; three grandsons, Lee Taylor of Florida with two great-grandchildren, Von Taylor of Florida, and Trevor Taylor of Florida expecting one great-grandchild; a daughter, Jean Ann West of Shawnee; a granddaughter, Michelle (Mark) Klein of Shawnee; three great-granddaughters, Emma, Abby, and Lily Klein of Shawnee; a grandson, Scotty (Erin) West of Shawnee; two great-grandsons, Connor and Dylan West of Shawnee; a son, Michael (Sheila) Marshall of Shawnee; a granddaughter, Heather (Vance) Marshall of Linwood; a great-granddaughter, Nikolle Allred, of Linwood; a grandson, Christopher Marshall of Olathe; a sister, Mary Humphrey of Upper Sandusky, OH; three brothers, Max (Mary) Green of Huntsville, OH, Bill (Margo) Green of Swartz Creek, MI and Jerry (Marilyn) Green of Coshocton, OH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Lou Green, Beulah Mckee, Pat Petryka, and Dorothy "Dot" Snider, and three brothers, Robert, Paul, and Harry Green Jr. and one grandson, Ryan Taylor.
She graduated from Forrest High School in 1950. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Shawnee, KS.
She always loved to cook, she kept herself busy in the food service industry throughout her life including time with: Off-Broadway Dinner Playhouse and numerous restaurants and bars, catering and Hy-Vee kitchens. Although she tried retirement for a few months in 2010, she worked with her extended Hy-Vee family for 15 years.
She loved playing cards, knitting, making jewelry, crafts, sewing, casino trips, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
