BELVA DUGGER
Belva Dugger, 95, Overland Park, Ks passed away on June 22, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday, June 29th at Overland Park Church Of Christ, 13400 W 119th St., Overland Park, KS, with visitation beginning one hour prior at 10 am. Burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Belva was born June 11, 1917, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. She married Virgil Hayes Dugger on June 14, 1936. They later moved to Jacksonville, Fl. and were active members of the San Jose Church of Christ. In 1974 they moved to Overland Park, Ks. and were active members of the Overland Park Church of Christ.
She was a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. She enjoyed painting and was a skilled artist. Virgil and Belva Dugger helped many people throughout their lives by providing a place to stay and providing financial support. She was also an outstanding cook. Wherever she lived she was heavily involved in church and community.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Harwell of Overland Park, Ks (and husband Ken) and her son VH (Dug) Dugger, Jr. of North Charleston, SC (and wife Jackie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Neil Harwell, Kevin Harwell, Jeff Dugger, Brian Dugger, Sarah Dorsey, and Becky Brown. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
She'll be remembered by her family and friends for her smile, positive attitude, and concern for others. Her faith in God served as an example that touched the lives of many others.
