Bernadette Weber

Bernadette Gohin Weber, 86, of Leawood, KS, passed away February 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center. Bernadette was born October 21, 1929 in Vittel, France to parents Alice (Binoche) and Rene Gohin. She was the youngest of seven children. Bernadette was educated in France and England prior to her career as a Flight Attendant with TWA, which began in 1953. She transferred to Kansas City with TWA in 1958 and became an American citizen in 1964. She was a member of Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church, Clipped Wings International, and Causerie Francaise where she taught French for 36 years. Her many additional activities included Charter membership in the Alliance Francaise, Officer of the Chouteau Society, membership in PEO Chapter CA, and Co-Producer of the French program “Entre Nous” On KCUR Public Radio. Throughout her life she was an avid golfer and member of Leawood South Country Club. She is survived by her husband Harold (Hal) E. Weber, Sr., her step-children Wendy Weber (spouse Jim Knoch), Leslie Weber, Harold (Chip) E. Weber, Jr. (spouse Cheryl), seven step-grandchildren, one step great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Claridge Court, 8101 Mission Road Prairie Village, KS.
