Bernice E. Harmon, 88, of Olathe Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Cedar Lake Village. Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday September 4, 2021, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kansas.
Bernice was born to John and Minnie Murdoch on July 31, 1933, in Edgerton, KS. She attended Baker College before meeting and marrying James (Jim) L. Harmon, September 26, 1953. They spent their married life opening a dry-cleaning business, named Legant Cleaners They also enjoyed dancing, traveling and family.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Kristen (Dody), Tyler, both of Kansas City and Whitney Harmon of Iowa City. Also, her great-grandson, Jaxson. She was preceded in death by John and Minnie Murdoch and her brother Warren Murdoch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Harmon and son, Dr. Gary S. Harmon.
Bernice will be missed by her family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Cedar Lake Village who lovingly cared for her the last 4 years of her life.
