Bit was born October 31, 1928 in St. Louis County, MO to Rev. Gustav G. and Maria M. (nee) von Brauchitsch Schupmann. She was the eleventh of fifteen children. After graduating from St. John’s College in Winfield, KS, she taught at a Christian elementary school in St. Louis County, MO for a number of years. On July 20, 1952 she married her husband of fortynine years, Kenneth H. Hoesch, Sr. and became a homemaker, raising five daughters and three sons in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, Ephesians 6:4. She went on to touch many more young lives by operating a daycare out of her home for many years, where she was affectionately known as “Mommy Hoesch”. She could often be seen telling the children stories or swinging them on the swing set in the backyard while leading them in song. She was deeply devoted to the children the Lord placed in her care.
Grandma Hoesch never tired of bragging about her grandchildren. She was very proud
of them and was an everpresent source of encouragement and support.
Bit worshiped at Lenexa Baptist Church and especially enjoyed attending the Digging Deeper Sunday School Class. Her teacher, David Byars, will officiate her funeral service.
Bit is survived by all eight of her children, Candis Hoesch, Linda (Jim) Scott, Pamela
(Bob) Kennedy, Diane Hoesch, Ken (Edna) Hoesch, Jr., Mike (Caroline) Hoesch, Steve
Hoesch, and Carolyn (Jeff) Robrahn; Eleven grandchildren: Amanda, Allison, Katelyn, Mollie, Michael, Kali, May, Jedediah, Clayton, Stevie-Lynn, and Annie, and two greatgrandchildren: Maggie and Poppy. She is also survived by one brother, Rev. Arthur Schupmann.

Otto Schupmann, Rev. and Professor Albert Schupmann, Dr. Gustav Schupmann, Paul Schupmann, Rev. Francis Schupmann, Frederick Schupmann, Martin Schupmann, Robert Schupmann; Five sisters: Charlotte Leichty, Eleanor Raedeke, Dorothea McNair, Winifred Caswell, and Marie Samelson; And two grandchildren, Lefty and Whisper Robrahn.
