Bette J. Moyles of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at her home.
She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Gladys M. and Thomas N. Hoops. Bette was a retired registered nurse, graduating from Bethany Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 with her sister Colene Dunn. Shortly after graduating, she and her husband moved to California where she spent many years working in private practice. Bette was a very caring person and was devoted to helping those who were ill. She shared the companionship of a dog or cat over the years with her husband, Alan, before he passed away. She then moved back to Overland Park to be closer to her sister. Colene, to whom she was very close.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Peter Dunn, Overland Park; brother-in- law, Paul Domanovsky and his wife Kay, Arlington, Texas. Also surviving are son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Walton, Yucaipa, Calif.; and daughter-in- law, Joanne Lacy, Yelm, Wash. Bette will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church of Prairie Village, Kan., on Thursday, March 13, at 10 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran Church, 4805 W. 67th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
