Bettie Flatt

Bettie L. (Cranmer) Flatt, 76, of Overland Park, joined her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the home of her daughter after a brief battle with cancer.
Visitation will be at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel , 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS on Friday evening Dec 5, 2008 6pm-8pm. A celebration of her life will be Saturday Dec. 6, 2008 at 11:00 at the chapel.
She was born September 18, 1932 to Walter and Goldie Cranmer in Humansville, Mo. Bettie graduated from Basehor High School in 1950 and married William Robert Flatt on April 5, 1952. They made their home in Overland Park. Bettie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, her parents, sisters, Rena Farber and Bonnie Scott, her twin, and daughter, Janis Cunningham (Flatt). She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Roberts and husband David of Paola, KS, son, William R. Flatt Jr. and wife Nancy of Overland Park, KS, grandchildren Chris Roberts, Cory Roberts (Marisa), Kelly Riddle (Andrew), and Samantha Cunningham; and great-granddaughters, Megan, Maggie, and Macy Riddle.
Bettie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed immensely. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, , 22875 West 255th St., Hillsdale, Kansas 66036. Arrangements, D. W.
