Betty Ann Gassaway, age 78, Olathe, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at her home.
Betty was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 13, 1929 to C.J. and Golda (Speir) McFarland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Larry E. Gassaway, and her parents. Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa Brink and her husband Paul, Vicki Green and her husband Dean; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Neil, Melissa Baldwin and her husband Tim, C.J. Green, Cole Green, Jason Edgar, Julie Edgar, Keith Brink, Trisha Brink, Jesse Brink; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Wenkel, Austin Wilson, Lindsey Wilson, Faith Wilson, Mia Baldwin, and Patience Baldwin.
A celebration of her life will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 10th at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas. Entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Courtyard of Memories mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be held 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m. Monday preceding the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Betty?s name be made to Catholic Charities Hospice, 716 N. 5th Street, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
