Betty Hale McAleer, 89, Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Betty was raised in Kansas City Missouri but lived most of her life in Overland Park. She worked at Sinclair Oil Company and the American Heart Association but preferred her role as a full time mother. Betty was an avid golfer and loved to travel with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas M. McAleer. She is survived by daughters Beverly (Marc) Craven, Barbara McAleer, and Brenda (Robert) Estell. She was a wonderful grandmother to Thomas (Andra) Craven, Timothy (Angie) Craven, Madison and Michael Estell and many nieces and nephews that she adored.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 12251 Antioch, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the church. Burial will follow the service at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf.
