Mrs. Betty McAnally

Betty Highfill McAnally was born January 8, 1927 in Springfield, MO, to Ruth and Hank Highfill. She departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at St. Luke's South Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19th from 12-1 p.m. at Indian Heights United Methodist Church, 10211 Nall Ave. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens Indoor Mausoleum. Memorial contributions can be given to Indian Heights United Methodist Church Memorial Fund (IHUMC). Her high school years were spent in Seymour, MO, with her mother and step-father, Bert Rodocker. Her father was killed in an accident, when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1945 and attended South Missouri State College in Springfield. On August 15, 1951 she married Sam McAnally. Betty worked for Mobil Oil Co. in Omaha and Kansas City and also worked part time at Cambridge House Gift Shop for 20 years. Betty was a member of Indian Heights United Methodist Church and was active in a number of civic organizations until she lost her eye sight a few years ago. Survivors include her husband, Sam of the home, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Fond memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.dwnewcomers.com.
