Betty M. Redmon, age 81, of Shawnee Mission, KS, passed away on July 2, 2011 at St Luke’s Hospital in KC, MO. Cremation. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Brown County, KS, the daughter of Edna (Parker) and Jesse White. Betty graduated from Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, St. Joseph, MO. She retired from Federal Government Nursing Service in 1990.
Survivors include one son, John Michael Redmon, Lake Quivira, KS and one granddaughter, Allison M. Redmon. Also surviving is one niece, Diana Stauffer of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, Fl 33607.
