Betty J. Stockton was born July 8th, 1927 in Pretty Prairie, Kansas, to Emma Graber and Rudy Krehbiel, where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Kansas State University and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she made friendships that lasted a lifetime. Before she stayed home to raise her two daughters, Betty taught FACS in Topeka and Kansas City high schools. Years later, she was a cost accountant for United Telephone/Sprint. She was a 60-year member of PEO, serving as the President of the Florida chapter at age 88.
Betty is survived by her husband of 15 years, Charles Stockton, two daughters, Beth of Kansas City, and Trish of Scottsdale, AZ, and a sister, Valera, of Ft. Meyers, FL. Betty has five grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Krehbiel. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, teacher, neighbor and friend to so many. Her kindness and loving personality will be missed by all who knew her. Betty was a devoted Christian, and the family is comforted knowing she was called by the Lord to her heavenly home in peace.
