Mrs. Beverly Devin

Beverly Louise Devin, 80, Leawood, Kansas passed away on March 11th 2016.  She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 31st, 1935.  She was the only child of Harold and Gladdys Gillispie.  Beverly attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.  She married Cedric Devin Sr. in 1956 and served as a Marine wife for five years.  They traveled all over the United States as well as other countries.  In 1968 they moved to Leawood, Kansas.  Beverly soon became a member of the Country Club Christian Church.  She was a sponsor for a Vietnamese family in conjunction with the church.  She also became a member of the P.E.O. Women’s group.  She got her Bachelor’s Degree through Menningers Bible College.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing and playing bridge.  Beverly was a generous, kind hearted, loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.   Beverly is survived by her two children: Cedric Devin, Jr. and Karen Frieze; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
