Beverly Ann Stone, passed away January 6, 2015 in Gainesville, GA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 12, 2015 at Leawood United Methodist Church, 2915 W. 95th St., Leawood, Kansas with Pastor Howard Johnson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 AM, also at the church. Following the service, a light luncheon will be held and interment will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
Beverly was born July 8, 1932 in Ray County, MO. She grew up in Buckner, MO and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She graduated from Warrensburg University where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Epsilon Sorority. She was married to Richard Stone for 28 years and together they raised three children. Beverly loved her Lord, her family, her friends, and her profession. Beverly was an avid painter and many are blessed with her oil paintings in their homes. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great- grandchildren, having fun with her girlfriends, attending church, painting, playing bridge, and making others laugh.
Beverly was preceded in passing by her parents Carl and Katherine Temple, her beloved brother Norman Temple, and her spouse Richard Stone.
Left to remember Beverly and her wonderful personality are her sister in law Mildred and her three sons; her children Teresa Ward (John) of Overland Park, KS, Steven Stone (Pam) of Gainesville, GA, and Scott Stone (Kim) of Ridgefield, CT; eight grandchildren: Lindsey Burnett (Ben), Lauren Davis (Clay), Carlee Stone, Carson Stone, Isabella Leal, Catherine Leal, Renee Ward, and Natalie Ward; and three great grandchildren, Carter Davis, Ellis Kate Davis, and Charlie Burnett.
She is greatly missed.
