Beverly M. Williams, 76, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away June 20, 2009, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Heritage United Methodist Church, 12850 Quivira, Overland Park. Cremation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Valley School District Reading Programs.
Beverly was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She married Wayne W. Williams in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 16, 1963. She was an exceptional homemaker and mother. For the last several years she volunteered in the Blue Valley School District and the students referred to her as Miss Bev. She received her Bachelor and Master's degrees from Kansas State University. She was involved as a Bible Study Leader and member of Heritage United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; sons, Douglas Noah and Fred Williams. Survivors include her children, Sherry Stowe and husband Gary of Manhattan, Kan., Marilyn Rolls and husband Ken of Loudon, Tenn., Christopher and wife Christy of Leawood, Kan., Wayne and wife Pat of Macomb, Mich., Charles and wife Myrna of Gladstone, Mo., Mike and wife Carla of Overland Park; daughter-in-law, Brenda of Manhattan; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
