Billy "Bill" G. Evans, 52, of Overland Park, KS, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 25, 1958 in Freeman, MO, to his parents, Lorraine Temple of Odessa, KS, and the late Steve Evans of Harrisonville, MO. He worked nearly 30 years in construction servicing municipalities in the greater Kansas City area. He was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family, and many unbelievably wonderful friends.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pamela; and his children: Emily, Parker, and Kyle; along with his children, Jesse Evans, of Belton, MO; and Courtney Ford of Archie, MO, from his previous marriage. In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Bob and Mike Evans, and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11th, at the D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS (913) 451-1860.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emily, Parker, and Kyle's Education Fund at Commerce Bank.
