Billy McCoy

Bill L McCoy passed away September 8th 2022, at his residence in Belton MO. Bill was born December 27th 1931, in Wichita KS. Bill lived most of his life in Kansas and upon moving to Missouri vowed to one day return to Kansas. Bill retired from Safeway Grocery Stores in 1992 after 40 years employment. Bill was married to Yvonne McCoy for 68 years. Spent most of his retirement volunteering for local hospitals. Along with his wife he was very active in Church activities. Bill was proceeded in death by two sons Phillip McCoy and Kent McCoy and two grandsons Joshua Clark and Brandon McCoy. Bill is survived by his wife, Yvonne McCoy; his daughter Sherry Strowbridge (Dale); his son Greg McCoy (Tammi); two grandsons Greg (Charlie) McCoy and Joseph McCoy (Natalie); one granddaughter Brooke Dowell (Stephen); four great grandsons and two great granddaughters; along with many other family members and friends. Bill worked hard his entire life to provide for his family as he believed that was his responsibility. He made numerous friends in is life time many of whom he is fellowshipping with today. Bill will forever be in our hearts and memories.  Visitation will be 6-8PM Tuesday September 13th followed by a 12pm Funeral Service on Wednesday September 14 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
