Reverend Bill Weston, 69, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Friday, June 13 at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS. A celebration of Bill's life will immediately follow at 12:30 at the church. Burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS. Memorials in Bill's honor, can be given to Church of Nazarene Foundation, 1379 S. Mur Len Road #101, Olathe, KS 66062.
Bill was born March 2, 1938 in Indianola, IA. He was married to Lois McKim for 48 years. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Hotel Fort Des Moines for 20 years and for Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola for 5 years. In 1986, he was a student at Mid America Nazarene College and received a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Before retiring, he pastored in Marengo and Creston, IA. Bill loved hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, driving around the countryside and he enjoyed his work with God.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Charles Weston; sister, Ruby Weston; father, Charles Weston; mother, Letha Weston; sister, Donna Ware; and brother, Grant Weston. Survivors include his wife, Lois Weston of Olathe; daughter, Melody (Daryl) Armfield of Olathe; sons, Steve (Jenniffer) Weston of Joplin, MO; Andrew (Debra) Weston of Olathe; grandson, Matthew Weston and granddaughter, Ashley Weston of Olathe; sister, Diana Burkholder of Indianola, IA; bother, Ken (Mary) Weston of Topeka, KS; sister-in-law, Karen Weston of Pal Beach Gardens, FL and many nieces and nephews.
