Bobette Pierce

August 8, 1941 — July 1, 2024

Overland Park

Bobette Jean Pierce was an “Old Soul” born to Bob and Theresa Pierce, both deceased. She has one sister , Barbara McKee. Bobette received a Bachelor degree from Washburn and a Master’s Degree from Emporia State. She loved her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha, at Washburn. She was the outstanding pledge her freshman year, was elected president, and was the Outstanding Zeta of the year when she was a senior. She loved sports and took an active part in them.

While at Washburn, she was notified that she was selected to be in Angel Flight and was given an honorary rank in the ROTC program. During her junior year, Washburn chose her as one of the top five people on campus that year and selected her to be in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Usually they selected seniors so this was quite an honor. She was surprised and honored when she was one of five inducted into NONOSO, which is Latin for “Not For Ourselves Alone.” She felt privileged to take the stage the next year, as president of this small honorary group and inducted fie new members. She also created several games, one of which a company bought and told her they were buying her thought process.

Many struggles, which Bobette used as “opportunities” were presented to her before and after Washburn, so her life was not easy. In her late twenties a female friend told her about reincarnation, and Bobette immediately knew that was what she had been waiting to hear, as that was the missing piece. Soon after that she met a wise spiritual mentor. He taught and supported her throughout her life. She prayed for and did healing work for physical and non-physical beings daily. She love doing energy work and went to Abadania Brazil at least four times to be in the presence of wonderful healers, and did her part to help herself and others while there. Bobette was extremely kind and loved doing things for others, often anonymously. She would ask that the Golden Light of Grace fill everyone reading this obituary.

In lieu of donations, she asks you perform a random act of kindness.
