Bonnie L. Hacker, age 87, of Leawood, KS, died Saturday, April 10, 2010. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 17th, at Community Christian Church, 4601 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64112. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Community Christian Church or to Kansas City Christian School. Bonnie was born on March 13, 1923 in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from high school in Bellevue, OH. She graduated as a RN from Flower Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo, OH. Bonnie married Ralph Hacker on April 12, 1947 and they had three sons, Doug, Dave, and Dirk. They lived in Dearborn, MI, and Webster Groves, MO, before moving to Leawood, KS, in 1964. She was a registered nurse and office manager of Kansas City OBGyn Physicians for 27 years. She was an ASPO childbirth educator. She loved her work and took pride in developing relationships with new mothers, and continuing those friendships throughout her life. She was an active member of Community Christian Church. She enjoyed the company of her bridge club, and neighborhood friends. She loved to travel with her husband and friends throughout the world. Bonnie will be most remembered for her caring, character, and charisma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her son, Dave; and a close friend, Jim Hendon. She is survived by her sons, Doug and Dirk; her grandchildren, Dirk, Kirsten, Adrienne, Eric, Jessica, Carl, Chelsea, and Ethan; her great-grandchildren, Greta, Gabriele, Evangeline, and Elena; her nieces, Cindy, Debbie, Jan and Sandy; and her nephews, Steve and Michael.
