Caleb was creative, loving, kind and giving. As the oldest child, his four brothers looked up to him and he looked after them. He loved working in and with the Church. That included as an assistant pastor and doing sound for services and events.
Above all else, Caleb was a musician. His interest in music began at a young age. He could see a new instrument, pick it up, and seemed to have mastered it in a matter of minutes. In high school he formed several bands and wrote plenty of songs. They were all amazing to us as his parents, yet he said they weren't much. He also led a gathering of children in writing and performing their own songs, as well as being a music teacher.
Most recently he lived in Seattle and, before that, Minneapolis, with time here and there back at home in Overland Park. He was born at Fort Knox. After that he lived with us in Germany for the first three years of his life. Then it was back to Kentucky, followed by Kansas.
Caleb attended Dehaven Christian Academy in Kentucky. At the same time he played soccer and Little League baseball. Then it was off to Oldham County High School, from which he graduated with straight 'A's. He also wrote editorials for the school newspaper and participated in many other activities. Then he completed a year of college at Western Kentucky University, where he was in the top Journalism program in the U.S. He completed college when we moved to Kansas.
Caleb loved all of you and will be sorely missed.
