Camille Alicia Slattery of Overland Park passed away on October 15, 2024 at the age of 95 in Leawood, Kansas. She was born May 23rd,1929 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Dr. and Mrs. William Baker.
Throughout her life, she made lasting impressions on all those she encountered. She had a contagious zest for life and never missed an opportunity to have fun. As someone who loved music and dancing, you could always find her turning any moment into a celebration. She found joy in all life had to offer, from yoga on a Saturday morning to traveling across the world with friends and family. She took every day as an opportunity to make memories with those she loved.
Camille is survived by her loving daughter Leslie Ann (Tom) Kinsgston, her precious granddaughter Alicia Camille Cornett, dear nieces and nephews - Dawn Matheny, Kelly Matheny, Craig (Melissa) Matheny, Mike (Robyn) Baker, and Lori (Ed) Bruce, her beloved rescue, Babe (age 20), many friends such as the forever faithful and loving Florian Family whom she adored.
She was predeceased by her siblings, brother Ward James (Lydia) Baker - United States Air Force Colonel (retired), sister Barbra Ann (Dick) Matheny, and brother Bradley Baker.
In lieu of flowers, Camille requests any donations be made to Safehome of Kansas City.
