Carl R. Wolf, Sr., 90, of Leawood, KS, passed away on Wednesday, September, 18, 2013.
Carl was born on August 14, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Ohio State University. Carl served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, much of the time as the Commanding Officer of LCT323 in the South Pacific. After the service, he joined United Airlines where he spent his entire career, retiring after 34 years. Carl was fond of his early years with United, as one of his duties was organizing and traveling with sports teams, primarily the Ohio State University Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Browns.
Carl is survived by his two children, Cindy Wolf of New York City, and Carl (Kristi) Wolf, Jr., of Stilwell, KS, three grandchildren, Natalie, Carlos, and Diego Wolf of Stilwell. Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen.
Memorial services will be private.
