Carol Lou Ashburn, 76, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2007. She was born February 25, 1930 and lived all her life in the Kansas City area. She was a member of the Overland Park Christian Church for over 50 years. She leaves many true friends that she has met through her life with being a chartered member with Overland Park Host Lioness and Beta Sigma Phi, Chapter Sigma Master. She will be truly missed by many.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter; Rebecca Lou Hodgden and husband Gary E.; son, Kenton L. Ashburn; two grandchildren Wesley E. Hodgden and Nicole L. Hodgden; great-grandson, Cody E. Hodgden; sister, Olivia Bueche and many nieces and nephews.
She has gone to rest with her life long love and husband Edgar R. Ashburn and twin sister Carolyn Louise Canaday.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, January 17 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Funeral services will 11:00 AM, Thursday, at Overland Park Christian Church, 7600 W. 75th St, Overland Park KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in her memory to Overland Park Lions Club Endowment Fund.
