Carol Jeanne Froeschle (Thomas), 71, Sedalia, MO, passed away on November 9, 2017 at KU Medical Center.
Carol was born on March 23, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, to William and Mary Ellen Lovsky. She was born the youngest of three daughters. Carol grew up in Shawnee, KS and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1964. She then studied and graduated from St. Margaret’s School of Nursing in 1967, which led to 40 plus years of nursing at various hospitals around Kansas City. Carol was married in 1967 to William Kimber Thomas Jr. until his passing in 1982; they had 3 sons together. In 2012 Carol joined Charles Froeschle in marriage and resided in Sedalia, MO until her passing. Carol loved to shop on QVC, shopping, making rosaries, and bead crafting for friends and family. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved having her dogs with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Ellen Lovsky; first husband, William K. Thomas Jr; sister, Rita Frank; and her in-laws, WK and Maude Thomas.
Carol is survived by her husband, Charles Froeschle; sister, Pat Mahan (Jack); three sons, William (Gaye Lynn), Bryan (Christina), and Matthew (Wendy); step-daughters, Tammy (Jeff), and Linda (David); niece, Donna Frank; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2-4PM on Friday, November 17, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210. Following the visitation, at Carol’s request, will be a celebration of her life at 15931 W. 161st Street, Olathe, KS 66062. Inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr, Danvers, MA 01923 or the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105.
