Carol K. Johnson, 77, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at Sunrise Senior Living in Overland Park, Kansas on September 7, 2013.
Carol was born in Holden, Missouri on October 5, 1935. She grew up in Overland Park and spent the last 44 years in Olathe, Kansas.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Frank DeMasters, her sister Betty Chorn Deberry and brother Jerry Peck.
She is survived by her three children Steffney Messer and her spouse Mike; Steve Johnson and his spouse, Jana; and Stan Johnson; two sisters, Shirley John and Donna Tyler; sister-in-law Shirley Peck; six grandchildren, Todd, Corrie, Matt, Julie, Alex and A.J.; one great grand child, Frankie Ann; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and had a love for horses, dogs, antiquing and playing cards.
A private family burial will be held at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
