Carol K. Lyons, age 62, Leawood, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 15, 2007.
Carol was born December 19, 1944 to Bill and Emma Lorraine (Hudson) Conroy in Trenton, New Jersey. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended the University of Missouri. She spent many years working at Seimens Medical Systems. Carol also enjoyed traveling and spending time at her lake house. Carol's devotion to raising her two daughters was the focus of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Kari Shumate Ain and husband Alex of Leawood and Stephanie Thompson and husband Justin of Olathe; grandchildren Emma and Aidan Thompson and Avery, Stella, Mason, and Claire Ain. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lorraine (Mimi), and her husband, Andrew Lyons.
A celebration of Carol's life will be on Thursday, October 18 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:30-7:30 with a service following.
