Carol Elaine Ritter, 71, Overland Park, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Kansas City Hospice House. There was a private family burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens on May 26, 2015.
Carol was born December 27, 1943 to Arvel and Blanche Elizabeth (Jones) Purinton. She was preceded in passing by her parents; a brother, Frank; and sisters, Rosalie, Ethel, Catharine, Mary and Dorothy.
Survivors include one sister, Ruth Moore of Overland Park, Kansas; brother, Danny Purinton of Missouri; two children, Patrick Purinton of Missouri and David Lowe of Kansas; and four grandchildren, Kevin, Timothy, Brittany and Nicholas.
Carol was a devoted artist. Drawing, painting, cooking, sewing, quilting, cross stitch, and building wood projects were her favorite pastimes. She liked to visit people and her best company was her parakeet, her prized possession.
